The Accident
I broke my left leg in October, 2002, when I fell down a flight of stairs while carrying my bicycle. It was a bimalleolar ankle fracture. In other words, smashed to smithereens. It took thirteen screws and a plate to put all the pieces back together. You can see them in this x-ray of my leg, two months later.
